  1. Steve Holland was a pretty busy artist’s model; I often wonder if every rendering of him was based on him having actually posed for the artist. If an artist just used Holland’s features (based on photos or other artwork) in a painting I don’t think there’d be any legal recourse, but it’d be slightly unethical since Holland made his living as a model. (Not implying that this particular cover is such an example, btw)

  2. Intelectual property is the most fleeting of all.
    Just a few minor altercations and you can run any cover without paying a dime to the “original” model.
