The only modernity is the 1948 portable TV. And Poul Anderson’s Genius is in shorts. Did Poul ever wear shorts? Heinlein and Theo Sturgeon were nudists. Invented around late 19th c, so they weren’t really futuristic.

To me,it looks more like one of Paul’s airships.
Those world war II aircraft-type windows date it.
