  1. John Held Jr. seems to be the artist who signed this cover (lower left) before he turned to the more cartoonish style he’s famous for.
    It seems also questionable that people would celebrate new year’s eve in 1916, at a time when thousands of soldiers were killed EVERY DAY, but (rich) people eventually would.
