  1. Very few informations on Ernst Troeger. He was a German-American illustrator who founded Phillips & Troeger advertising firm. He attended the Parsons School of Design in New York City.
    That’s all.

  2. The Phillips of Phillips & Troeger is Baryé Phillips. Additionally John Fernie work at that art studio:
    “He [John Fernie] had been illustrating since 1946 in Toronto, Canada and in New York City since 1948 for major commercial accounts and magazines. While in New York John worked for Troeger­-Phillips.
    So, who knows, some of the Phillips/Troeger covers may actually be by John Fernie
