In 1934 the publishers of Film Fun (which featured cover girls by Enoch Bolles) took the owners of Movie Humor (which featured  nearly identical cover girls by George Quintana) to the New York supreme court, suing for unfair competition and infringement, and a temporary injunction was granted against “the confusingly similar cover format.” This issue from September 1934 wants to be very clear that it is not in fact Film Fun.
