I really love the play on words, especially in the Film Fun covers – it puts the fun into it as well. Alberto Vargas and Peter Dribben and other pinup artists were famous for their short sharp one-liners interlaced with glamorous girls in interesting situations – especially Dribben and Elgin. Did they think them up themselves or where they given the lines to work around? And was Enoch Bolles also given the lines to work around? How great it would be if they were not only wonderful artists but also very humorous comedians of the one-liner variety like Lenny Henry or the unique Max Miller – even Derek and Clyde and other fantastic stagemen of old
What is that black thing in the corner?
Looks like a floodlight
