Subtitle notwithstanding, that cover illustration makes me think this is the story of a Finnish (?) sailor who found the eponymous object who, as in J Campbell’s “Who Goes There?” was flash-frozen with a malevolent expression and a pistol in her hand! The sailor is violently obsessed with his “bride” and thaws her out – whereupon she completes her action and blasts him to charcoal! She then turns that same expression and weapon upon the narrator. The End.

Odd story – a Weird Tale indeed.
