The mood is certainly inspired by the film “the 3rd man”. But why is he holding this huge lamp post ?
Is he going to bludgeon her to death with that streetlight he’s holding? I mean, it’s a nice cover painting Mr. Artist, but couldn’t you have moved that lamp post a fraction of an inch to the left or right? Sure, you can say “it’s just an optical illusion, notice that the lamp post doesn’t cast a shadow, so he’s clearly not carrying it,” but if you have to explain it, you didn’t do it right in the first place.
The title is superb!
