Is this by comparison, a signature that I don’t see anywhere, some other website reference, because the actual pulp gives the cover artist or because you own the original painting? How did you arrive at this conclusion, marc?
WHO, just WHO could have mastered Dalton Stevens’ style enough to paint just like Dalton Stevens would ? Not only the general style, which is already a bit peculiar, but every single detail, the lips and teeth, the glowing eyes and so on… And plus, for the same magazine in which Stevens worked !
Answer : the one and only Edward Dalton Stevens himself ! Elementary my dear KellyM (no Crystal ball!)
“WHO, just WHO could have mastered Dalton Stevens’ style enough to paint just like Dalton Stevens would ?”
Well, supposedly William F. Soare mastered Delos Palmer’s style so precisely that he once painted a cover exactly as Palmer would have, so perhaps the answer to the question is Soare?…Oh, never mind…
Art by Edward Dalton Stevens !
