Being a lover of all things South Pacific (my old lady was a lovely Maori Girl with the name of Claire-Louise Te Aroha Moana which means ‘to love the sea’ ) I was interested to learn that the Samoa tree in Tahiti is called Mei’a hamoa. But you may be fascinated to know, dear reader, that there is a thoroughfare in Pearl City, Hawaii named Ahamoa Street filled to the brim with luxury houses and no doubt several love starved Amazons. And also in Hawaii an Ahamoa is the name of the assembly collected at a cockfight – also full of love crazed Amazons I dare say.
