I love the looks on the ringside spectators, none of whom look at all comfortable being in an arena of blood and violence. One wonders why they even came. And of course not a black boxer to be seen. No Sugar Ray Robinson and not even a whiff of a Joe Louis (who was World Champion from 1937 to 1949 (wikipedia). And this being a USA magazine certainly not the great Dave Sands or any of his brothers. I guess sales profit overcame reality even in the land of Pulp.
