That is such an underrated gem of a film. You can definitely see the similarities with this artwork and what happens to Kathy and her husband in the film. He gets beheaded while she is stripped naked, like in the artwork of this book, then she is oiled down then taken by the chief of the tribe. So yeah, I would say its definitely an influence.
