Then, in 1948, the New American Library bought the American Penguin and published six novels with new dust jackets, including this one which was the last and “The Cask”, whose cover is also by Phillips.
It must have been published around 1952.
It would be interesting to ask David Saunders if his dad could possibly have been the artist who painted this cover !
