Having now looked over the Coughlin covers, only the bottom right illustration reminds me of him.
The top left illustration doesn’t match his style, so, assuming both paintings were done by the same artist, I don’t think it’s Coughlin. The smoke reminds me of Delos Palmer and the woman’s hand reminds me somewhat of William Soare (or maybe Delos Palmer), but her face and body and the dog have me perplexed. Perhaps it is some artist I am not yet familiar with.
If someone forced me to make a bet, I guess I’d have put my money on it being Palmer.
This style looks familiar to me. Perhaps John A. Coughlin?
