    1. My brother and I believe our father Bernard Barton was the actual illustrator. Harry Barton is an apparent pseudonym we’ve discovered was used on several other pulp fiction covers we know he illustrated . Probably he used a pseudonym because he had better paying family oriented illustrations he was working during the same era-such as craft toy box covers, he eventually did many of those for Milton Bradley. annual corporate portfolio covers, etc, And we theorise it was so named because Harry LaVine was the art director who hired him for all or most of his book cover work, and Harry assigned the pseudonym.
