I read in a biography on Roddenberry, that he consulted pulp magazines heavily in his early conceptualization of the Star Trek series. In particular, Amazing Stories from the 1950’s was mentioned.
I see the iconic features of a Vulcan in this illustration. The hair cut, side burns, eyebrows, and of course the pointed ears.
As Walter Popp’s son, maybe I’m a bit biased on this. But I am curious if anyone else finds this interesting.
