Very impressive ladies on that cover. Not only leading the way for women’s rights (AFAIK, none of the Allied forces except possibly Russia put women in frontline combat positions in WWII) – but also very fashion forward; the rest of the world wouldn’t be wearing Go-go boots until the 60s! (And who knew Go-go boots apparently were great “jump boots” for paratroopers!)
