Everything about this picture is great: the self-satisfied look on the sailor, the look on the hotel clerk (Oh…Mr and Mrs Jones? Yeah, right!!…Lucky bastard!) and the girl who looks as though she wishes she hadn’t run away and certainly isn’t seeking thrills in the big city. But I like how she has half taken her coat off already and her matching hat coat and luggage. Guess what her favourite colour is?
